Yo — greetings.
Coming to you live from the office on this Monday morning after a crazy 3-day weekend.
News flash: I think they shut off the internet in my apartment — but since we don’t pay that bill
because we don’t fucking care about bills I guess I don’t blame them.
I attended two weddings this weekend. The first was in Middletown, CT on Friday at ‘The Barn’ for one of my fraternity brothers.
Fraternity brother: Michael , fraternity nickname: Boobs, overall alcohol consumption: moderate. For the record, moderate for me is what gets most people drunk so don’t get it twisted.
No farm animals were involved this time around but still had an awesome time white-boy-wedding-dancing for hours. I partied with some crazy people, but, like I said before, kept my alcohol intake at a reasonable level. I knew I would be drinking all day on Saturday at the next wedding, so I gave myself a few hours to sober up and it worked like a charm. This was only because I knew I had to drive back to NYC to drop off my date. By 10pm I stopped drinking and was totally sober by 1am.
I drove from Middletown to NYC at 1:30am, which means I pull into my 109th street hood to drop off my date around 4am. However, just before we get back I get a phone call from some fraternity brothers who are already at the next wedding. I make what we call a game-time decision: its time to make a power-move. I drive from NYC to Poughkeepsie, NY and arrive at the Courtyard Marriott in Fishkill, NY right around 5:30am.
Might have been the most drastic deja vu ever. I was the Courtyard Marriott in Wallingford like 4 hours ago — THE LOBBY’S ARE EXACTLY THE SAME. shouldn’t I win a prize or something? Nothing? Oh OK — thanks.
The wedding on Saturday was a very close college friend of mine: Megan & Jordan, most of the college crew is there: shitshow, alcohol consumption: rather high. there are a lot of photos that might be floating around the inter-web — so don’t judge me, OK?
ended up driving back to the CT area Sunday around noon to meet up with some more brothers to get wings at the Big Boys Club meeting spot aka Porky’s in Shelton. some of the best wings I’ve ever had (next to Brooklyn Bowl’s BBQ wings). Watched some football, hoped to watch the Giants lose, but I guess the Bills can’t win them all, right? But what do? I know — check out @toomuchfire for NFL on Adderall.
All in all, I am alive but in full recovery mode at my desk and we’re about halfway though the day. If you ever need assistance getting through a two-wedding weekend, you know who to call. If you want to know how to party with smokes all weekend, you know who to call.
Tonight will be sleepfest 3000 and FIFA12.
Weekend Warrior says stay hot.
