Too bad all that money could only buy one shower....

‘horsed around’….really Jerry?

MAYBE he should have used another shower — that is, providing Penn State had more than one. I hope that the defense uses that: “It was his only option to shower with prepubescent boys”.

Seriously who decides their best course of action after teaching kids football is to get naked WITH them and get in a shower? I don’t care if you’re a pedophile or a logical human being — showering with kids is just wrong. He did try to point out that he’s not a pedophile yesterday. Weird. I’m sure Penn State, which has 44,000+ students and one of the most storied football programs in the country, can afford separate showers for coaches and players.

And horsing around? Congrats Jerry. You just gave rapists a new defense for years to come. I can see it now:

“Fraternity says they were ‘Horsing Around’ with female party guests. Deny rape charges”

they need to put this douchebag in jail and let some of the “boys” named Bubba and LeRoy horse around with him on Rikers Island or something.

Sandusky? More like Sandouchesky.

Raider Park

For Christ's sake -- don't do it!

Earlier today, none other than the “Chief Executive Officer” of Raider Park banned an upstanding and admired member of the community from this parking facility — for life.

The issue which gave way to controversy was skateboarding. Skateboarding, when practiced by a skilled novice, is a perfectly safe leisure activity. However, the Chief Executive Officer of Raider Park believes it to be an atrocity, an abomination, and an as*hole move. He humiliated himself by reacting with the use of foul language in addressing the upstanding and admired member of the community who, among other things, influences the lives of countless young scholars.

He then accused the upstanding and admired member of the community of criminal trespassing and lied when he said the police were onsite. Indeed, the Chief Executive Officer of Raider Park is a bold face liar.

But you should have seen him come unglued when he was informed the upstanding and admired member of the community was in no way trespassing — he was, in fact, a paying customer.

You see, trespassing requires an intention to enter without permission and a refusal to leave. Customers who pay for their right to be present aren’t trespassing. To that, the Chief Executive Officer replied that customers pay for their vehicles to be present — not their selves.

In following that rationale, anyone who steps out of their vehicle and walks to the elevator or stairs could be guilty of criminal trespassing.

If you were to say, “Well, that’s not right, that’s not what the Chief Executive Officer meant . . .” then at what point does it become criminal trespassing? How long would you have to walk around in circles to suddenly become a trespasser?

The Daily Toreador referred to this occurrence as “shocking.” The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal plans to publish an exposé on corrupt local businesses. They now plan to investigate Raider Park and are considering them for inclusion in the article due to this outrage.

But public exposure is the least of Raider Park’s worries — they’ll be churned inside the State and Federal court systems for years to come.
